Rob. Lidéns Järnhandel startades 1927 av Robert Lidén där nedervåningen i bostadshuset fungerade som butikslokal. 1963 övertogs företaget och ombildades till aktiebolag. Byggnaden har under årens lopp byggts ut i flera etapper, idag uppgår butiksytan till 2500 kvm.
